Writing Tip: #3 Dreams

So.... todays post on writing isn't going to be very long but it's powerful and strong!

**....DREAMS....**

DON'T IGNOR THEM!!!

Just after my body has slipped out of deep sleep and right before waking up is where I get the BEST and most vivid dreams. This is one thing I take to heart when I'm writing. It has really made my writing full of feeling, emotion, and very descriptive scenery. You could say that a dream is like a picture.... it's worth a thousand words but I like to say that its worth a million words because the feelings you get in a dream you can't totally comprehend in a picture.

So there you have it. Write down your dreams, as crazy as they might be I promise you won't regret it.

  1. Dreams?! I don't think I've had a dream in a very long time....I'm so tired from working, class, homework, writing, blogging and reading that my head hits the pillow and I'm out until I wake up in the morning. I haven't had a good or bad dream in a while. Weird that I haven't noticed that until now!

  2. I know I haven't had a dream for a while now either.... well any that I can remember.... but when I do dream I have to write them down. It's like having an epiphany form me... I love it! :)

  3. I used to have a dream diary so I could write down on my coolest dreams. It just takes a bit of training to remember them. Once you start doing it, it's easy.
